you blink at the boy in front of you who stands fixated on an imaginary spot in the middle of the deserted field. eyes closed, he stretches out his arms, and the breeze caresses his arms lightly. and you suddenly want to be the wind, to feel every part of yourself draped all over him and his soul.
he drops his arms against his sides with a soft flump, and he turns around on the spot to face you.
"did you know that i weigh more than you do?"
you blink again; it seems to be all you're capable of doing when around him.
"um, no i didn't know that," you manages to say before he tsks at you.
he gives you a small smile and you swear your heart tore out of your chest, flew over, and gave him a tight hug.
"do you know why?"
you can only shake your head.
"because my heart's bigger than yours."
you crook an eyebrow, and moves three footsteps closer.
"you see, i have too much love for you that it overflows, and i think it pools in my feet. my heart's filled to the brim, and i love it."
he absentmindedly peers at his bare feet, toes waggling amongst the swaying blades of grass. you automatically looks at what he's looking at, and you blush when you see that his toes are somewhat flushed.
"sometimes when we're happy and we're dancing to our hearts' content, i swear i can feel the love sloshing around inside me, and sometimes droplets of it go everywhere! do you notice when it seeps out my pores? it tastes like strawberry and you and it's so pretty."
your hand flutters up to your chest and gives it an encouraging squeeze. you pad the few feet towards him and slip your fingers together with his, and you feel his smile spreading through your palm.
"hey," he starts.
"mm?"
he tugs two times on your hand, and is in the process of the third when you finally face him. his eyes are shining, and you thinks you spy a little pink heart just off of his warm irises.
"kiss me senseless, please?"
your brow furrows slightly, and you reach your other hand up and trace the word love over his lip, before deciding you'll suck all the love out of yourself and pour in into him, as he can never have too much love. he will love for them both, you decide, and let out a small surprised squeak when he presses his lips (that still have the word love traced all over them) against yours.
you smile against each others' lips, his flushed toes meet yours, and it's all perfect.
